TAKE NOTICE, that a Special Board Meeting of the Hudson County Improvement Authority (Authority) has been scheduled for Monday, August 31, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-1 et seq., and pursuant to the Governor of New Jersey’s Executive Order 103. Due to the ongoing State of Emergency regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus), the Authority offices located at 830 Bergen Avenue – 9th Floor, Jersey City, New Jersey remains CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.
The meeting will be conducted remotely, via ZOOM virtual meeting technology. The public is directed to the Authority’s website at www.hcia.org for live public access to the meeting audio and video stream and directions for public comment. The Authority’s offices and board room located at 830 Bergen Avenue, 9th Floor, Jersey City, will be closed to respondents and the public for the opening. JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- Hudson County’s Skyway Golf Course will reopen to golfers on Saturday morning following an Executive Order signed this afternoon by Governor Phil Murphy that permits county parks and golf courses to operate during the COVID-19 outbreak. In addition to the golf course, which is operated by the Hudson County Improvement Authority, county parks will also re-open on Saturday at sunrise for passive recreation only. Basketball, tennis and other activities that involve close contact are not permitted. Strict social distancing measures will be in place at both the golf course and county parks to ensure the safety of all Hudson County residents.
