HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION,

TRANSPORTATION AND DISPOSAL SERVICES

FOR YEARS 2025 AND 2026 (OPTIONAL)

 

Notice is hereby given that sealed Bids for Household Hazardous Waste Collection, Transportation and Disposal Services will be received by the Hudson County Improvement Authority (HCIA) at its Administrative Office, 830 Bergen Avenue, 9th Floor, Jersey City, New Jersey 07306 on January 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Bids will be opened and read aloud via Zoom at 1:00 p.m. on January 22, 2025. Information and links to access ZoomGov will be posted on www.hcia.org prior to the opening.

Bid Documents may be obtained on or after December 17, 2024 via download upon registration with the link available through the HCIA website www.hcia.org or in person at the office of the HCIA, 830 Bergen Avenue, 9th Floor, Jersey City, New Jersey 07306, during regular business hours, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Bids must be submitted in writing on the forms furnished by HCIA in the Bid Documents. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder, and the name of the Contract on the outside, addressed to the Hudson County Improvement Authority, and include a Bid Guarantee to the HCIA, for ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the Bid Guarantee need not exceed $20,000.00.

At the time of Bid submission, Bidder(s) will be required to submit a consent of either a surety or a bank indicating that such surety or bank will provide the performance bond or letter of credit as required by the Bid Documents if the Bidder is awarded the contract for Household Hazardous Waste Collection, Transportation and Disposal Services.

The HCIA reserves the right to reject any or all Bids to the extent permitted by the Local Public Contracts Law (N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq.), and to waive any informalities where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the HCIA, providing same do not constitute a substantial non-compliance with the Bid Specifications.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of Chapter 127 of the P.L. of 1975 (Affirmative Action Requirements).
